WordPress.com bog is easy to start without buying a Domain Name and Hosting. the only downside is you will not have full control of your blog but you migrate anytime to Self Hosted WordPress to gain full control of your blog.

Step.1-: Before migrating your WordPress.com blog, you must have Domain name and Hosting. I recommend Bluehost Hosting. You can read my post How to kick start your WordPress website with Bluehost Hosting.
Step.2-: Log on to your WordPress.com account and go to my site  section==>>go to setting option to your website, you will get an option of export. select Export all, once your export will be success, you will get download link of your email ID. rather than going to email ID click on ’download and download all your content.

Step.3-: Once you have purchased a domain name and hosting and installed WordPress on it. your website login page will be like www.yourwebsite.com/wp-admin log into your account. after login you will have your WordPress dashboard go to Tools>>Import at the bottom you will get option of WordPress plugin install it and activate.  
Run the Importer it will ask to upload file, give the path of file save on your computer. Since you have set up your blog there will be one user, just select your own user name from the drop-down menu to assign the imported post to yourself. to make sure all media is also imported, check all the download and import file attachment checkbox.

Step.-:4 You have successfully migrated your WordPress.com blog to self-hosted WordPress but your blog reader is not aware of your new domain name. to redirect your user to the new domain name you have to set up redirection which is Paid Feature but very less amount of fee.
